Bryan said in Washington that she had received calls from concerned Jamaican-Americans living in the Atlanta metropolitan area.

To help, Bryan worked with partners, including Delta Airlines, to collect boxes of supplies to send to Jamaica.

“Drinks, snacks, emergency medical supplies,” Bryan said.

“I’m concerned about the underserved population who may not have construction on their homes, meaning zinc roofs, or who are living in places that are not permanent,” Bryan added.
