Olympic hopeful is daughter of famous former Buffalo Bills player

She’s the daughter of one of our favorite former Buffalo Bills and now she can officially say she’s an Olympian.

The Olympic Games are getting ready to kick off this year in Paris, France. They will run from July 26th to August 11th, and you can bet we’re going to get some serious media coverage. There’s no doubt that people love watching the games themselves, but they’re also usually big fans of the athletes’ stories.

Buffalo residents will love this one.

Jasmine Jones has qualified for the 2024 Summer Olympics

This weekend, hurdler Jasmine Jones fulfilled a dream by qualifying for the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris with a time of 52.77 seconds in the 400m hurdles. It was her personal best time and when compared to the best in American history, there are only three people who have done better. Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone holds the record with a time of 50.65 seconds (she also holds the second, third and fourth best times). The next closest is Dalilah Muhammad with a time of 51.58 seconds. These two runners hold the top 10 times in the country. Anna Cockerell ran a time of 52.68 seconds.

Jasmine Jones is the daughter of former Buffalo Bills safety Henry Jones

You may remember Henry Jones from his days playing for the Buffalo Bills. He was a defensive end who was selected by the Bills in the first round of the 1991 NFL Draft.

He was the first and still is the only Buffalo Bills player to throw two interceptions in a game. This happened in 1992 in a game against the Colts. The second interception was thrown for over 80 yards for a touchdown.
