Dangerous heat continues this week

HOUSTON – It’s no secret that summers in Houston can be hot. Really hot.

Over the past week we have seen temperatures climb into the 90s, with some temperatures reaching well into the triple digits.

Temperatures, or the heat index, reached 114°F in parts of the Houston area on Sunday.

With no end in sight, it’s more important than ever to check in on your neighbors and those who need it most.

Along with photojournalist Michael Lemons, KPRC 2’s Gage Goulding reached out to the most vulnerable in our community, offering ice-cold drinking water to help those experiencing homelessness stay cool and hydrated.
