The Buffalo Bills’ 10 biggest hits in 2024

Most of the time when we think about NFL salaries, it comes down to who is on a team’s roster.

With the way the football cap works, this is not the case. Depending on how contracts are constructed, if a team releases or trades a player, they will assume “dead cap space.” This is an amount of money that the team does not pay directly to a player, but rather a penalty against their salary cap for an upcoming season.

With the number of departures the Buffalo Bills have had in the 2024 offseason, there are a few. That includes some big ones like the dead cap attached to wide receiver Stefon Diggs’ contract, which was traded to the Houston Texans.

According to Spotrac, here are the 10 biggest dead hits the Bills have had in 2024:
