Red, White and Boom!

Details: Norcross will host its annual Fourth of July celebration a day early, complete with food, music, fireworks and face painting. Bring picnic blankets and lawn chairs to watch the show with family and friends. Be sure to ask about parking and road closures in advance to get the best views.

Stone Mountain Fantastic Fourth Celebration
When: July 1-7
Or: Stone Mountain Park
Cost: Light show tickets $5-$35, parking $20 and additional paid attractions
Details: Stone Mountain offers a full week of 4th of July festivities, including a “Music Across America” drone and light show filled with flame cannons, lasers, and fireworks every night. While you wait for the show to begin, you can enjoy attractions like a Summit Skyride, a 4D theater, and a Dinotorium. Also enjoy their “Summer at the Rock” series, which includes a Water Works show, a Deep Sea Glow Cove, and a Puppy Pals show. Be sure to arrive at the park before 5 p.m., as spots fill up quickly and the gates close once capacity is reached.

AJC Peachtree Road Race

Details: The World’s Greatest 10K Run, now in its 55th year, is perhaps Atlanta’s most beloved Fourth of July tradition. The coveted bibs have been sold out for months, but the event is as fun to watch as it is to participate. The race starts at Lenox Square Mall and ends at Piedmont Park, with people lining up at different locations all along Peachtree to watch runners pass each other and congratulate each other.

Details: Enjoy panoramic city views, fireworks, and everything in between, with the annual 4th of July celebration held on the rooftop. Tickets include access to the Skyline Park ride and games for the whole family. Stay late for dinner at 9 Mile Station Restaurant or sip frozen cocktails at tropical pop-up bar Summer Beach.

Flute Players Parade and Fireworks
When: 4th July
Or: Downtown Decatur
Cost: Free
Details: Dress up in your favorite red, white, and blue outfit and join the Pied Pipers Parade on foot, by bike, or by float! The parade begins at 5:30 p.m. with prizes for the best-decorated floats, followed by a musical performance by the MetroGnomes. Afterward, be sure to grab a seat on the lawn for the city’s fireworks display.

4th at the Parc
When: 4th July
Or: Downtown Marietta
Cost: Free
Details: The 4th of July in Marietta starts early with their Let Freedom Ring Parade which starts at Roswell Street Baptist Church and ends with a festival featuring crafts, food and music for all ages. Next, the city hosts performances by Scott Thompson, the Atlanta Concert Band, TULANI and Savannah Jack. End the evening with a final fireworks display after the concert.

Details: Celebrate the Fourth in Sandy Springs with fireworks and live music from A-Town A-List. Bring your own lawn chairs and picnic food or grab a bite from one of the many food trucks on site, including Dogs on Wheels, Gyro Chef, Hapa Kitchen, and more. Be sure to arrive early, as set-up before 4 p.m. is prohibited.

Peach State Block Party

Details: Enjoy live music, food, and outdoor games at Underground Atlanta’s Block Party, followed by a massive fireworks display. Food is free until 4 p.m. (or while supplies last) with the purchase of a ticket, so arrive early for lunch.

Summer Concert and Fireworks Show in Chamblee

Cost: Free
Details: The Town of Chamblee’s three-month summer concert series coincides with July 4 for a dynamic concert followed by fireworks. This year the event features The Ansley Stewart Band and The Platinum Band. You can bring your own food and drinks, or buy from one of the many food trucks on site.

Atlanta Braves July 4th Game

Details: Show for the Atlanta Braves for the last of their three-game series against the San Francisco Giants. The Battery Pavilion will feature a special holiday performance from emerging country artists, as well as a special fireworks display at Truist Park.
