ATLANTA — The Atlanta Police Department has released body camera footage showing a county judge arrested after allegedly assaulting a police officer, 11 alive reported.

The incident occurred June 20 while an Atlanta police officer was working approved overtime work at a restaurant. the Atlanta Police Department said in a press release.

Police say the officer heard a noise nearby and went to investigate. As the officer assisted security and attempted to deescalate the situation, “an unidentified woman, later identified as 38-year-old Christina Peterson, ran toward the commotion and immediately began yelling at the officer. “security guard and agent,” the ministry said. declared.

Peterson is a probate judge in Douglas County, according to 11 Alive.

Body camera footage shows Peterson sitting handcuffed in a police car, where she shouted expletives at officers and repeatedly refused to identify herself. She was eventually taken to the Fulton County Jail, charged with battery on a police officer and criminal obstruction of law enforcement, according to 11 Alive.
