Woman shot in face, man arrested after incident in Southeast Atlanta

The Atlanta Police Department is investigating a shooting that left a woman injured in southeast Atlanta.

Friday evening, shortly before 6 p.m., officers responded to the 400 block of Cleveland Avenue SE for a report of a person shot.

Officers arrived on scene to find a 23-year-old woman who had been shot in the face.

She was taken to hospital for treatment.
