ECU Hosts Annual Mike Houston Women’s Soccer Clinic

GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) — The East Carolina University football program opened its facilities to women in the community Friday for its annual Mike Houston Women’s Football Clinic.

The team has been organizing this clinic for over six years.

The event included a tour of the facility and one-on-one interviews with defensive coordinator Blake Harrell and offensive coordinator John David Baker. Houston and his wife, Amanda, started the event by greeting everyone. They said this event was a great way for coaches and their families to interact and meet each other.

For new coaches like Baker, it was a chance to introduce his wife and new baby daughter, Ella, to the ECU family.

After all this information, it was time for action as the ladies took to the field for exercises. They were able to practice tackling dummies, kicking field goals, and working their arms with quarterback target games.
