What are the worst Bills jerseys in franchise history?

The Buffalo Bills have one of the cleanest jerseys in the league, but it hasn’t always been this way. During the 2000s, the Bills wore jerseys that didn’t really look like them. That’s why it wasn’t a shock to see them listed as the worst Bills jerseys in franchise history.

For The Win’s Christian D’Andrea listed the worst jerseys for every NFL team and he settled on the aforementioned 2000s paneled road jerseys.

“Buffalo has some of the best uniforms in the NFL, a beautiful balance of red, white and blue that pops against a backdrop of a retro design. In the 2000s, however, they created a jersey that matched the Bills’ play on the ground.”

While this article seems like an unnecessary photoshoot of how poorly the Bills played in the 2000s, it’s hard to argue with his choice of the team’s worst jersey. As I mentioned in the first paragraph, the Bills have a classic, crisp jersey and this jersey has moved away from that. For what? There is the expression “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” and the Bills should have followed that saying before releasing these jerseys.

Fortunately, the Bills retired these uniforms in 2011 and returned to the classic Bills uniforms that we all know and love. It feels like a completely different team when you look at old photos of the team from that era.

Now, not only do the Bills have one of the sleekest jerseys in the league, but they are also a Super Bowl contender. The best of both worlds.
