Although the suspect is still not in custody, police said they know who the suspect is. He was last seen in a Camaro with license plate DTB4849.

HOUSTON — Houston Fire Department paramedics witnessed a deadly domestic violence shooting early Tuesday morning, according to the Houston Police Department.

Police said that led to a deputy-involved shooting. Although the suspect is still not in custody, Houston police said they know who the suspect is and what car he is in.

They confirmed he had a history of domestic violence involving the woman who was sadly killed.

Investigators said it started around 12:30 a.m., when HFD paramedics were at a gas station refueling at MacGregor Way and Almeda Road, near the Museum District.

Police said a man and woman were arguing. Then, paramedics allegedly saw the man shoot the woman nine times.

They flagged down a Harris County Precinct 7 deputy who was passing by. Police said the officer attempted to arrest the suspect.

“Immediately there was a shooting. The officer withdrew. Turns exchanged. The suspect then got into the deputy’s vehicle and drove away,” HPD Assist. » said Chef Jessica Anderson.

Houston police said the shooter did return to the scene. They said another shooting took place as the suspect got into another car and sped away.

The Precinct 7 deputy was transported to the hospital to be examined for minor injuries. Police said he had worked at the constable’s office for 14 years.

Police said they are now actively tracking the suspect. His name was not released, but they said he was in a black Chevrolet Camaro with a Texas license plate DTB4849.

If you see this vehicle, be aware that the suspect is considered armed and dangerous. You should call HPD immediately.
