The puck drops during the 2024 11-day Power Play this Thursday

Puck drop will fall during the 11 Day Power Play, a fundraiser in Buffalo to fight cancer, on Thursday, June 20.

Teams will take to the ice at LECOM Harborcenter in downtown Buffalo for 11 straight days of hockey.

Co-founder Amy Lesakowski and her team are preparing to welcome 2,500 hockey players and volunteers.

Amy herself is part of the inspiration behind this annual event. Diagnosed with an aggressive form of breast cancer in 2009, she made a successful recovery thanks to the Roswell Park Cancer Institute. Amy and her husband Mike, whose mother was suffering from lung cancer, wanted to give back – and the 11 Day Power game was born.

The event has raised more than $10 million for cancer research over the past seven years.
