Named sole finalist for Atlanta Public Schools superintendent

ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) – The sole finalist for Atlanta Public Schools’ next top educator will be named Tuesday morning.

Dr. Danielle Battle has been the interim superintendent since the school board voted not to renew the contract of former superintendent Dr. Lisa Herring.

Due to Georgia law, the school board will have to wait 14 days before officially naming the new superintendent.
