3 predictions that are WAY too early for the Buffalo Sabers in 2024/2025

For my second prediction, it comes at the NHL trade deadline. This is more of a hypothetical prediction, but let’s say the Sabers are in the playoff race. I think general manager Kevyn Adams will make a big move to help Buffalo make a playoff push. Two years ago, the Sabers acquired Jordan Greenway at the deadline as they battled for the playoffs.

Even though they didn’t make the playoffs, Greenway added some grit to the lineup. For this year’s deadline, Adams is pulling the trigger on improving the roster. We’ve talked many times about this offseason that made or broke the Sabers GM. If that’s the case and the team is doing well, I think he pulls the trigger at the deadline.

I understand that words are just words and actions speak louder than words. However, if Adams does indeed have a good offseason and Buffalo is in the middle of the playoff race, I see him making a move to improve their chances of ending the playoff drought.
