Devastating fire at Old Pink

A multi-alarm fire caused significant damage to the Old Pink at 223 Allen Street. The fire that broke out was reported shortly before 6 a.m. this morning. The beloved dive bar is an Allen Street institution known for its cheap drinks, terrible toilets and steak sandwiches.

It is certainly a sad day for Allentown, and for all of Buffalo for that matter. The Old Pink is a legend and an institution. Old dive bars like this are becoming fewer and fewer. One thing is certain: without The Pink, Allentown would never be quite the same. A bar like this is rare.
