Houston ISD offering FREE breakfast and lunch during summer 2024 to students

HOUSTON – School may be closed, but Houston ISD in need of a hot, healthy meal can still have access to it this summer.

Through Houston ISD’s Summer Food Program, students and any child under the age of 18, as well as students with disabilities enrolled through age 21, can get a free healthy meal during the break.

The district says these meals help ensure that students who relied on school meals during the school year can still have access to good nutrition during summer break.

The program is part of HISD’s Nutrition Services, which began Friday, June 17 but will continue through Friday, July 19.
