From there, with the assistance of the Texas Department of Public Safety, officers conducted a traffic stop in the 2000 block of Airport Road in Temple.

According to the release, K-9 Kenzi was used to sniff the vehicle and alerted to the presence of drugs during an “open air sniff.”

After a search of the vehicle, officers were able to locate the drugs, after which the driver and passenger were arrested and taken to the Killeen City Jail.

Police have not released the names of those arrested.
