It’s now the most expensive home for sale in Houston

A Hunters Creek estate has returned to the market and reclaimed its position as Houston’s most expensive listing, at nearly $50 million.

Known as “The Lodge,” the property at 107 Timberwilde Lane is inspired by Hearst Castle and the Biltmore Estate and was designed by architect Ken Newberry. Situated on nine acres along Buffalo Bayou, the estate includes two full houses, a gatehouse, a five-car garage, a generator and sports field as well as a swimming pool, wooded park and a full outdoor kitchen and a bar.

The Lodge is listed by Walter Bering and Mary Elizabeth Hahnfield of Martha Turner Sotheby’s International Realty for $49,985,000.
