Academy goalkeeper James Donaldson called up to U.S. U-15 junior men’s national team

Atlanta United Academy product James Donaldson has been called up to the United States U-15 Men’s Junior National Team by head coach Tom Heinemann, US Soccer announced Thursday.

The Woodstock native is part of a 24-man roster for the Vlatko Markovic tournament taking place in northern Croatia.

The list includes players from 12 Major League Soccer clubs, led by five from the New York Red Bulls and three from the LA Galaxy. Donaldson is the only representative from Atlanta.

Twelve players, including Donaldson, have participated in all four MYNT U-15 training camps so far this cycle, while three have earned their first call-ups to the team. The eighteen returned from the United States’ last gathering, a 24-player camp in Atlanta last month.

The United States will face Croatia, England and Morocco from May 15-17 and play a classification match on May 19. Check out the full schedule below.
