Celebrate National Children’s Day in parks around Atlanta

May 18 is National Kids in the Parks Day!

Organized by the National Park Trust, the mission of Kids in the Parks Day is to encourage future outdoor enthusiasts and help develop the next generation of park stewards by engaging children in outdoor experiences looks memorable.

National Kids in the Parks Day is a day of outdoor play celebrated annually on the third Saturday in May.. The day connects children and families with their local, state and national parks and public lands through thousands of park events that promote discovery and exploration of the great outdoors. National Park Trust works with cities and towns, teachers, families, parks and public lands officials, and many sponsors and partners to make these events possible.

Kids Day at Dunwoody Parks & Rec

When: Saturday May 18, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Where: 4770 N. Peachtree Rd., Dunwoody, Georgia

The event features Face Painters, DJs, Bubbles, The Music Class, Concessions, Balloon Artists and MORE! Activities, King of Pops popsicles, popcorn and cotton candy are FREE. Top Job beverage and lunch vendors will be on hand for additional concessions. Held on the front court of Brook Run Park, near the playing field.

Children’s Day at the Parks at Hammond Park

When: Saturday May 18, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Where: 705 Hammond Dr Sandy Springs, Georgia

Activities include inflatables, water slides, popcorn, balloon artist, temporary tattoos, DJ and music, prizes and more!
