My analysis
Although Howard’s 3-point shooting has been iffy to start the season, it remains one of the toughest matchups in the league.

At 6-foot-2, she has the size of a frontcourt player but the skills of a guard, while providing the ability to win around the glass and set up teammates for easy buckets. Howard is averaging 15.8 points, 5.1 rebounds and 3.4 assists in eight games this season.

She’s already topped 22.5 points, rebounds and assists in four games despite the Atlanta Dream having a tough schedule to start the year. Although the Chicago Sky appear to have improved from past seasons, they are still a team with a losing record (4-5) that should have difficulty containing a talent like Howard.

Chicago allows 78.7 points per game and has been particularly bad inside the arc, where Howard cooks. The Sky allows the third-most 2-point shots per game (22.9), with opponents shooting the fourth-highest percentage from two in the WNBA (47.6%).

Howard also happens to be one of the best rebounding guards in the WNBA thanks to her size. This will be useful against this Chicago team which allows the third most rebounds per game to its opponents (36.8).
