Catholic Diocese of Buffalo puts St. Jude Center up for sale

The Catholic Diocese of Buffalo is putting another property on the market.

A spokesperson for the diocese said the St. Jude Center, located on Ellicott Street near Carlton Street, is for sale.

Purchased by the diocese in the 1960s, the nearly 9,000-square-foot facility is listed for $1.5 million.

This comes about a week after Bishop Michael Fisher announced plans to merge more than a third of Western New York’s 160 parishes and reduce worship centers by nearly 40 percent.
