Rockford woman shot, killed, identified by Winnebago Co. coroner | News

ROCKFORD, Ill (WREX) – The Winnebago County Coroner’s Office has confirmed the tragic death of 19-year-old Elizabeth Beasley following an incident on Tuesday evening.

Rockford man charged with murder after woman found dead

Authorities were alerted to the crime scene in the 4900 block of Linden Road around 6:10 p.m., where Beasley was found the victim of a shooting.

She was pronounced dead by Winnebago County Coroner’s Office staff at 6:45 p.m.

An autopsy conducted today revealed that Beasley died from a gunshot wound.

The Rockford Police Department has taken over the investigation into this deadly incident.
