Train crashes into 19-wheeler in northwest Houston

An 18-wheeler was struck by a train on the northwest side Tuesday.

HOUSTON — An 18-wheeler was split in two by a train on the Northwest Side Tuesday.

This happened along the Northwest Highway just outside the Beltway in the Jersey Village area.

It’s unclear if anyone was injured in the crash, but it caused traffic problems in the area.

By 2 p.m., the train had moved and crews were working to clean up debris from the accident.
