Woman sentenced to 10 years in prison for role in deadly Buffalo robbery

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) β€” A woman who admitted to robbery in a fatal double shooting in Buffalo has been sentenced to 10 years in prison.

Sharee Bailey participated in a robbery on Merrimac Street that resulted in the deaths of Shaquiel St. John, 26, and Bethany Malloy, 21, on September 27, 2019. She pleaded guilty to one count of theft in the first degree.

Last month, the men accused of killing them, Ernest Green and Wayne Robbins, were sentenced to spend the rest of their lives in prison. Green was also convicted of killing Danielle Cretacci, 31, in her home in the town of Tonawanda, about a month before the killings of St. John and Malloy. Daniel Rodriguez was also sentenced to 75 years to life in prison for his role in Cretacci’s murder.

Although Bailey was charged with Cretacci’s murder, the Erie County District Attorney’s Office said she only pleaded guilty to the Merrimac robbery.

β€œHe was offered a plea deal in exchange for his testimony at trial,” the prosecutor’s office told News 4 WIVB.

Prosecutors added that she did not testify against Rodriguez and that her testimony was that she met Green after Cretacci’s murder. This was corroborated by telephone recordings and other interviews.

Bailey, who was in custody before his conviction, faced up to 25 years in prison. In addition to the lighter prison sentence, Bailey will spend five years under supervision after his release.
