Students at Northwest Missouri State University now have an additional outlet. To that end, Buffalo Wild Wings has partnered with Sodexo, which manages dining at the university, to open a Buffalo Wild Wings Go restaurant on campus. The concept opened in April and offers the chain’s classic wings, sandwiches, wraps and sides for dine-in and takeout orders. In addition to its gastronomic menu, the concept also serves beer.

“We wanted to come up with a concept that would be exciting for our students, employees and the community,” Dr. Matt Baker, Northwest’s vice president of student affairs, said in a statement. “Buffalo Wild Wings Go was presented as an option and it seemed like a great solution. The feedback we have received so far on the quality of the food and service has been exceptional.

Diners can stop by the new location Monday through Thursday between 11 a.m. and 11 p.m. and 11 a.m. and midnight on Friday and Saturday.

The university also offers several other outlets, including Starbucks, Chick-fil-A, McAlister’s Deli, and Qdoba Mexican Eats.

Lately, restaurants have been popping up more often in nontraditional locations such as college campuses. Additionally, some restaurants have taken the opportunity to test new technology and concepts, like the Buffalo Wild Wings Go format. In 2022, Subway launched a new format in hopes of adding locations in locations such as airports and university campuses. The format, which is a smart refrigerator, is more advanced than a classic vending machine and meets the demand of mobile customers.

Dining options have also made their way onto college campuses through partnerships with Virtual Dining Concepts. Earlier this year, Sodexo partnered with the virtual restaurant brand to bring AC Barbecue to Jackson State University.
