Veteran receives free air conditioner thanks to Rebuilding Together Houston

HOUSTON (KIAH) — The temperature is starting to rise in Southeast Texas and beating the heat is of the utmost importance.

An organization that’s been around since the early 1980s is making life a little cooler for a military veteran in east Houston.

Rebuilding Together Houston is installing a window air conditioner for this man Tuesday morning, and they’re doing it for free.

It’s one of many services the charity offers to eligible people.

Specifically, they specialize in helping low-income people, people with disabilities, veterans, and seniors.

Those who qualify will receive services such as free air conditioners, roof repairs and more.
