Thousands gather for the Buffalo Pride Parade on Elmwood Avenue

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) – Rainbow flags far outnumbered raindrops Sunday afternoon for the Buffalo Pride Parade.

“Today is happy. Most places you go today, there is a lot of hatred towards American political views right now, the division of America. You come here and it’s is a relief,” said Dustin Savage, who attended the parade for the first time.

He and thousands of others lined up on Elmwood Avenue to watch the parade floats as they headed from Forest Avenue toward Allen Street.

This year’s theme is “It’s time”, the idea of support touches all ages in the 716.

“I love seeing the families here being welcoming and supportive and just having a good time and being happy,” Kaylee Majuk and Madi Frew said.
