  • 20th Annual Woodlands Wine and Food Week | From Wednesday June 5 to Saturday June 8 – Wine and Food Week celebrates its 20th anniversary with a week of individual gastronomic delights and culinary events. Highlights include Aruba Fusion: Stretch, Sip & Savor and Wine Around the World on Wednesday, Get Frosted at Rosé Way on Thursday, Sip, Suds and Savor on Friday, and topped off with the Wine Rendezvous Grand Tasting & Chef Showcase on Saturday. Prices and times vary.
  • LIV Golf Houston at Golf Club of Houston | From Friday June 7 to Sunday June 9 – The LIV golf tournament arrives in Houston to launch its final stage, including two local players. The tournament is known for its fun and lively atmosphere and many hospitality options and packages are available. Stay after golf Saturday for a live Macklemore concert. $46.98 and up; Free tickets available for ages 12 and under. 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day.
  • Comedian JR De Guzman at Houston Improv | From Friday June 7 to Sunday June 9 – The Californian artist of Filipino origin, named one of Variety‘s Ten Comics of 2022, comes to Spring Branch Comedy Club for a weekend of laughs. $54 for 2 people or more. Hours vary.

  • Cocktails in bloom at Autry Park – Buffalo Bayou Partnership invites people to its annual outdoor party with refreshing cocktails, local food bites and festive music at Autry Park. $100. 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.
  • Kid Laroi in concert at 713 Music Hall – The young Australian rapper comes to the Post Houston music stage for an evening of songs from his debut album from the end of 2023, The first time. $54.50 and up. 7:30 p.m.

  • Ion Block Party: Chef Showcase at The Ion | FREE with RSVP – Ion’s monthly block party on the Square expands with a showcase of the neighborhood’s palate-friendly restaurants, including The Lymbar, Late August, Second Draft, and more. RSVP is required to enjoy free samples from the restaurant and tap room. 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Pride Happy Hour at the Moody Center for the Arts | FREE – Rice University Art Gallery hosts its annual happy hour with Pride Chorus Houston, DJ Krazzy Kris, free drinks and crafts. 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Wine and Food Week: Taste Yourself at The Rosé Way at Peach Orchard – Go pink with a celebratory evening of on-trend rosé, sparkling and sweet wines, complete with a fashion show, beauty experiences, music, door prizes and more at The Woodlands. $75; $125 with a front seat for the fashion show. 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
  • First Thursday block party in Mid-Main – The monthly block party brings together local businesses for an evening of live music, art exhibits, shopping and handmade treats from local vendors. Unlimited access bracelets represent a $10 donation. 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.
  • Martini Theater at DTO: Pride edition at Daiquiri Time Out | FREE – Galveston’s frozen food hotspot returns with its monthly, Pride-themed film series. The series opens with the 1990 film, Paris is burning. 21 years and over. 6:30 p.m.
  • An orchestral performance of Dr Dre 2001 at House of Blues – This is no ordinary orchestral event when the sounds of Dr. Dre’s legendary album are layered together as West Coast classics come to life with DJs, singers and lyricists. $45 and up. 7 p.m.
  • Vampire Weekend in concert at 713 Music Hall – Fresh off the release of Only God was above us, Vampire Weekend brings its catchy pop melodies downtown while embarking on a 45-city tour across North America. $34 and up. 7 p.m.

  • The Macallan Tasting with Juliana Hernandez at Brennan’s in Houston – This exclusive tasting works through a flight of Macallan 12 year old Sherry Oak, 15 year old Double Cask and Harmony Intense Arabica. Brennan’s offers culinary bites throughout the evening. $60. 5 p.m.
  • Wine and Food Week: Sips, Foams and Flavors at The Woodlands Waterway Marriott – Celebrate the 20th anniversary of Wine & Food Week with great food, live music, wine, beer, craft spirits and a live art performance from Harvey Dunn of PaintJam. $45. 6 p.m.
  • Opening Night: The Big Show 2024 at Lawndale Art Center | FREE – The annual exhibition celebrates its 40th anniversary and brings together the works of 90 artists practicing within a 100-mile radius of Lawndale. 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Near Dark: a black light art exhibition at Hardy & Nance Studios | FREE – This annual light show features works by local artists in fully black light sensitive rooms, along with free drinks and good vibes. 7 p.m. to 11 p.m.
  • Dancing on the Square: Disco Night at Sugar Land Town Square | FREE – Join professional dancers from Fred Astaire Dance Studio for an evening of disco-themed dancing on the square, with music from the Level One Band. 7:30 p.m.
  • The Baroque-Carnatic Connection at Miller Outdoor Theater | FREE – Expect a vibrant musical experience with world-class Carnatic and Baroque musicians, paired with a remarkable professional Bharatanatyam dance ensemble from South India. 8:30 p.m.
  • Malaa DJ Set at Stereo Live – Dance the night away with the French electronic dance music DJ who made his name with hit records like Famous And Confession. 18 years and over. $30. 10 p.m.

Saturday June 8, 2024

  • Vegan Party at Eureka Heights Brewing Co. | FREE – Enjoy mouth-watering vegan dishes and refreshing drinks at Heights Brewery. Vendors will serve Caribbean-inspired vegan creations, and you can enjoy live performances, limbo and hula hooping competitions, a live DJ and much more. From noon to 6 p.m.
  • Pleasure Cruising: A Cheeky Tiki Adventure at Equal Parts Brewing | No coverage – In Second Ward, you can taste six new flavors of tiki-inspired Exotica beer, and grab a bite from an all-night pork roast and tropical side menu from Rowdy’s BBQ and food truck El Pobre . From noon to 10 p.m.
  • National Rosé Day Brunch at Brasserie 19 – Sophisticated rosés, themed cocktails, “brunch format” bottles, special menus and DJ Fxboxolmos help make this Saturday morning a busy morning to celebrate rosé. 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
  • 30th Anniversary Party at Saint Arnold Brewing Company – Texas’ oldest craft brewery is celebrating 30 years of brewing beers with an all-day birthday party. The festival will feature several renowned Bayou City musical artists collaborating for the first time, including Kam Franklin, Devin the Dude, Robert Ellis and Fat Tony, as well as food and drinks throughout the day, as well as commemorative glassware and related products. $15 and up. 2 p.m. to 10 p.m.
  • Ink & Image 2024 Opening Reception at Archway Gallery – This is a citywide celebration of printmaking that welcomes seven gallery printmakers, including Blaine Davis, Donna e Perkins, Shirl Riccetti, John Slaby, Liz Conces Spencer, Robert L. Straight and Cookie Wells, as well as the guest artists Mary Lee Gray and Liv Johnson. . 5 p.m. Artists’ conference at 6:30 p.m.

  • Wine and Food Week: Wine Rendezvous Grand Tasting and Chef Showcase at The Woodlands Waterway Marriott – This culinary extravaganza features chef demonstrations and offerings from 35 restaurants, all competing for the national title of Chef of Chefs and a cash prize. During your stay, taste hundreds of wines among series enthusiasts. $150 and up. 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.
  • Tango, Joropo, Danzas y Mas at Miller Outdoor Theater | FREE – The Hermann Park Stage hosts a free evening of exhilarating sounds inspired by Caribbean folk songs and dances, Brazilian indigenous legends, Argentine tango and Venezuelan joropo. Houston-based Ensemble Aperio accompanies acclaimed soloists Ernesto Vega, Pablo Estigarribia and Eddy Marcano. 8:30 p.m.
  • Klub Nocturno at White Oak Music Hall – Nationally touring DJ crew brings Latin rock to White Oak for an all-out dance party. $14 and up. 9:30 p.m.

  • Back to the Future Dinner at Feges BBQ Spring Branch – Feges’ Spring Branch outpost will host some of Houston’s favorite chefs at the epic Back to the Future dinner, including Chris Shepherd, Patrick Feges, Erin Smith, Lyle Bento, Ryan Lachaine, Victoria Dearmond, JD Woodward and Chris Bednorz. . In a family-friendly setting, chefs will prepare a nostalgic menu with wine and beverage selections handpicked by Matthew Pridgen. $200. 5 p.m.
  • USPA NYTS Tournament at Houston Polo Club – Close out the spring season with a world-class doubleheader polo match featuring bites from The Lymbar, a premium bar menu, players’ parade, champagne stomp, special trophy presentation and live music. $18 to $40. 5:30 p.m.
  • Todd Rundgren in concert at House of Blues – The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and rocker “Hello, It’s Me” takes the stage with a full band and a playlist that includes mashups of select covers and a slew of hits. $53.50 and up. 7 p.m.
