  • Profanatica at White Oak Music Hall | Wednesday June 5 – One of the first black metal groups in the United States, New York’s Profanatica is celebrating its 34th anniversary a few days early, with a concert at the White Oak. $20 and up. 7 p.m.
  • Gary Morris at Main Street Crossing | Wednesday June 5 – The Tomball stage sees the legendary “Wind Beneath My Wings” hitmaker recount some of his biggest hits. $54 and up. 8 p.m.
  • Vampire Weekend at 713 Music Hall | Thursday June 6 – The beloved Ivy League indie band just released its first album in five years, Only God was above us, and will bring the new tunes along with a handful of classics to 713. $86.50 and up. 7 p.m.
  • An orchestral performance of Dr Dre 2001 at House of Blues | Thursday June 6 – Experience a unique orchestral reimagining of rap’s seminal opus 2001 by one of the greatest West Coast rappers to ever do it, Dr. Dre. $45 and up. 7 p.m.
  • 30th Anniversary Party at Saint Arnold Brewing Company | Saturday June 8 – Texas’ oldest craft brewery is celebrating 30 years of brewing beers with an all-day birthday party. The festival will feature several renowned Bayou City musical artists collaborating for the first time, including Kam Franklin, Devin the Dude, Robert Ellis and Fat Tony, as well as food and drinks throughout the day, as well as commemorative glassware and related products. $15 and up. 2 p.m. to 10 p.m.
  • Concert celebrating emancipation at the Grand Opera in 1894 | Saturday June 8 – Gather at the historic Galveston Opera House to celebrate and recognize Black art, culture and contributions starting June 19 as Nia Cultural Center welcomes Grammy Award winner Fred Hammond and the Stinsons Five from Galveston. $20 and up. 7 p.m.
  • Quintron and Miss Pussycat at Salon Orange | Saturday June 8 – Make this Saturday night one to remember by catching a genre-defying performance by New Orleans psychedelic art-rock soul band Quintron in a high-energy performance at the Orange Show. $20. 7 p.m.
  • LIV Golf Houston with Macklemore at Golf Club of Houston | Saturday June 8 – The LIV golf tournament has landed in Space City and taken over the Golf Club Houston in Humble. Following Saturday’s round of golf in the multi-day tournament, hip-hop pop star Macklemore will close out the evening. Day passes start at $46.98; free for ages 12 and under. Golf takes place from noon to 6 p.m., with the concert immediately following the round.
  • Chiquis at 713 Music Hall | Saturday June 8 – Daughter of the legendary Jenni Rivera, Chiquis proves she’s a star in her own right with a headlining show at 713, featuring sounds from her recent release, Diamonds. $19 and up. 8 p.m.
  • Tango, Joropo, Danzas y Mas at Miller Outdoor Theater | Saturday June 8 | FREE – The Hermann Park Stage hosts a free evening of exhilarating sounds inspired by Caribbean folk songs and dances, Brazilian indigenous legends, Argentine tango and Venezuelan joropo. Houston-based Ensemble Aperio accompanies acclaimed soloists Ernesto Vega, Pablo Estigarribia and Eddy Marcano. 8:30 p.m.
  • Todd Rundgren at House of Blues | Sunday June 9 – The iconic Hall of Fame singer-songwriter comes to the House of Blues to perform tracks from his extensive 60-year catalog. $40 and up. 7 p.m.
  • Tye Tribbett and friends at 713 Music Hall | Sunday June 9 – The multi-faceted, Grammy Award-winning artist who redefined gospel music brings his pals to 713 as he wraps up his One night only toured across North America. $42 and up. 7:30 p.m.
