Suspects charged after drug investigation at Chicopee home

CHICOPEE, MA (WGGB/WSHM) – A lengthy investigation into reported drug sales from a home in Chicopee led to two arrests.

Chicopee police said detectives and members of the FBI’s Western Massachusetts Gang Task Force executed a search warrant at a residence in Chicopee on Friday, May 3. The suspect, 48-year-old Otis Collins of Chicopee, is believed to have sold cocaine from there.

While searching the property, investigators reportedly found several weapons, ammunition, narcotics and a large sum of money.

The suspects were not at home at the time of the search and arrest warrants were issued against them.

Days later, Collins and 42-year-old Marie Lopez of Chicopee turned themselves in on multiple gun and drug charges.
