Kyle Busch attacked by angry NASCAR dad as pit member smashes Stenhouse

Kyle Busch attacked by angry NASCAR dad as pit member smashes Stenhouse

Now let’s talk, baby! THIS is the NASCAR we all grew up with, right? The one our fathers and grandmothers fell in love with.

Thank you, Ricky Stenhouse Jr. You promised us early last night in the All-Star race that you would beat Kyle Busch, and…well, you kind of did.

If we’re honest, the real hero today is Ricky Stenhouse Sr. That’s true. Ricky’s dad absolutely stole the show last night. The guy was electric. He was an animal.

Honestly, if I were to rank everyone The fight, I think I would go…

  1. Ricky’s father
  2. Kyle Busch
  3. NASCAR via FOX reporter Bob Pockrass
  4. Kyle’s psycho pit crew member
  5. Ricky Stenhouse

I don’t mean to sound anti-Ricky today – believe me, I always welcome this type of NASCAR content after an otherwise uneventful race – but there were some absolute superstars that emerged from the carnage, and he was a spectator most of the time.

You’ll see. I’ve put together more camera angles than in modern porn, so today we’re going to take this fight with piss and vinegar. Let’s roll, baby!

Normally in this part I would go into what else we’re going to discuss today, but let’s be honest, it’s going to be a battle 99% of the time.

Hey! We have Natalie Decker and her mother in the pool! Let’s go over that again too. Sounds good?

Good! Four tires, some fuel and a few days of detention for Ricky Stenhouse Jr., his dad and Kyle Busch… Monday Morning Pit Stop – the “SOMEONE GET MY DAD!” edition – is LIVE!

First, let’s start with how it started

Before we jump in and start bashing Kyle Busch, let’s look at how exactly we got there.

Everyone on Twitter is a fake NASCAR fan this morning because the fight is going viral – which is a good thing! – but I bet 99% of viewers don’t know why Ricky was throwing right hooks at 10 p.m

It’s simple…Kyle was an idiot. It can not be said otherwise. As much as I love Kyle Busch, he went all out on lap 2 (!!!) of a 200 lap race and decided to push Ricky into the fence because he thought Stenhouse was pressuring him.

Stenhouse…didn’t do it. He didn’t do it! He made a three-wide and actually left a lot of room for Kyle at the top. I didn’t even go near him. Kyle is the one who said that oneself in the fence.

I’m always team KB here – but fair is fair. Excuse me.

Now let’s explore all the intricacies of this NASCAR fight that blew up the internet

God forbid the internet gives me a different perspective on the actual wreck, but whatever. From the vantage point in the car you can see enough. Believe me, Stenhouse didn’t put Kyle Busch in his place.

Have different opinions? Agree? Do you think I’m an idiot? [email protected]. Let us strive for it.

Now a few things after the accident Before Let’s get to the actual fight…

First, that Stenhouse parks his car in Kyle’s pit lane? Funny. I like the creativity there. We respect things like that here.

Secondly, the keep my guard Reference? It goes back to when Richard Childress – now Kyle Busch’s car owner – once chased Kyle after a truck race in 2011 and told his grandson Austin Dillon to “be careful” before engaging him.

That’s such a badass way to start a fight, by the way. I hope to God that at some point in my life I have enough wealth to ask my grandson to keep my $30,000 Rolex before I beat someone up. What a bonding moment that must be.

Third, Ricky kept telling us to “pay attention” after the race was lame. Dude, we get it. We know. You don’t have to promote the fight like a PPV event. Just act crazy and wink and nod at us. We’ll get it done.

And fourthly…. Can you imagine waiting like TWO HOURS just to fight someone? There is absolutely no chance that I would ever be so angry about something that I would wait two hours just to punch a guy. How could you still be? The hot two hours later?

By then I would be so exhausted that I would most likely just pass out and be over it the next morning. Wild.

OK…roll up the tape!!!! First, the mainstream perspective that everyone has seen:

That was good, but didn’t tell the whole story

So Ricky lands a right hook and off we go! Seems like a decent little argument, right?

But you haven’t seen anything yet!

As I said, the star of the show was Ricky Stenhouse Sr., Ricky’s father, who I assume is in his 60s. He intervened right as his boy was being dragged away and set about finishing what Junior had started.

When I was in Little League decades ago, I once witnessed a battle royal between my father and my best friend’s father. I would imagine they were under pressure or something, but they were arguing about balls and strikes.

Anyway, after the game, they faced each other as we were leaving and it almost came to a fight. My grandfather – God have mercy on him – stood behind my father the whole time, just waiting to pounce. That never happened, but he was ready.

This is what we had here:

Finally, Kyle Busch had the line of the NASCAR season

“Dad! Dad!! Someone get my dad.”

God, we’ve all been there, haven’t we? The losing “Someone get my Dad” at the end was just perfect. At this point you feel kind of embarrassed and want to get out of there immediately.

It’s clearly not going the way Ricky Stenhouse Jr. planned, which is strange because he had TWO HOURS to plan this fight and got one punch in before being dragged away. One! The safety at these NASCAR races gets on my nerves so much.

Guys – can we let them fight it out for about 10 seconds before we intervene? Hey, guys, you’re about to get your chance. Let me get this done first, okay?

They ruined a good fight between Ricky Stenhouse Jr. and Kyle Busch and turned it into a fight between Kyle and Ricky Sr. That was perfectly good consolation, but I would have liked to see how the first fight would have turned out.

Now, the other takeaways? Kyle’s pit crew guy was a BEAST. The tweet above is 100% correct. He just beat people up last night. Anyone who got in his way was beaten up. It was a bloodbath.

Another snack – and nook? Remember when I mentioned Pockrass earlier? So …

BOB!!!!! When they showed this angle on FOX’s post-race show, I almost spit out my drink. If you know Bob Pockrass, even better.

Absolute Hall of Fame moment in his career. Incredible.

Finally, this line from Kyle Busch at the end is perhaps the greatest quote in NASCAR history:

The NASCAR WAGs are taking us to Charlotte

“Bring it, I don’t give a fuck, I’m just as shitty as you, let’s go!” Put it on a shirt NOW. I know we’re all putting Scottie Scheffler’s mug on a t-shirt these days, but this quote from Kyle Busch deserves some stitching too. Hilarious.

Angry. What a fight. Just so many layers. Right now the momentum for NASCAR is just unreal. Between the finish a few weeks ago and this one, we are starting the biggest weekend of the motorsport season with a lot of enthusiasm. I can barely wait for it.

As for the rest of the race last night… eh. It was good. Honestly, the offense behind Leader Joey Logano was pretty good. But Logano led every single lap – except one! – of a 200 lap race. Wasn’t that great. But good for him. He won a million dollars and wasn’t mistreated on live television. This is a victory.

There’s not much else to say about the return from North Wilkesboro, so I guess we’ll end the day with Madyson Stenhouse, Samantha Busch and Natalie Decker. Sounds like a plan? I thought so.

Now let’s do a 600 mile race in Charlotte.
