Two people were injured in a shooting near Mission Street and Bloomfield Avenue

Two people were injured in a shooting Friday evening, according to Montclair police.

According to investigators, this happened near Mission Street and Bloomfield Avenue just before 6 p.m

A 43-year-old man from West Orange and a 32-year-old man from Montclair were taken to the hospital.

Police said witnesses saw a silver or gray minivan fleeing the scene north on Mission Street before heading east on Bloomfield Avenue.

Police are asking anyone with information about the shooting to call.
