Man and woman found dead in car in Phoenix after several days

A man and a woman were found dead in a car over the weekend. According to police, they had been in the vehicle for several days.

Officers were called to the parking lot of a business near 75 at around 8:25 p.m. on July 7.^th Avenue and Encanto Boulevard, where they found two people dead in a car. Witnesses told officers the couple had been in the same location for several days, according to a Phoenix police news release.

During the preliminary investigation by the detectives, it emerged that the man probably had a gunshot wound and a firearm was found in the car, the press release states.

The investigation is currently ongoing while investigators await the results of the autopsy, police said.

Authorities are asking anyone with information to call Phoenix police or Silent Witness.
