Pedestrian dies after two-vehicle collision in Escambia County, Florida.

ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Fla. (WALA) – According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a pedestrian was struck by two vehicles late Wednesday evening on U.S. 29/West Nine One Half Mile Road in Escambia County, Florida.

It happened around 10:40 p.m. The vehicles that hit the pedestrian were both traveling north.

The FHP said the pedestrian was crossing the road wearing dark clothing and the drivers of a pickup truck and a sedan were unable to react in time before striking him. There was no artificial lighting in the area and it was raining at the time, the highway patrol said.
