Buffalo’s Sahlen Stadium can accommodate 150,000 spectators over two weeks

Buffalo and Western New York residents have had an incredible summer so far in terms of entertainment. Not only is the 716 having a record year for shows, events and concerts, but we’ve also had some amazing weather that has allowed people to take full advantage of all the great things Buffalo has to offer.

If you had any doubt that Western New York was a great place to spend the summer, you only had to take a look at the last two weeks spent in downtown Buffalo.

From late-mid June to early July, Buffalo was the scene of a massive concert, a baseball team roaring onto the field, and a sports exhibition that drew thousands of people downtown.

This fact was not lost on the Buffalo Bisons, as their Sahlen Field was the center of all activity for two weeks this year.

According to the Bisons, between June 21, 2024 and July 7, 2024, nearly 150,000 fans passed through the gates of Sahlen Field in downtown.

The overall turnout was quite impressive when analyzed:

• More than 76,000 fans attended nine consecutive Bisons games,
• More than 20,000 people packed into the stadium to see the WYRK Toyota Taste of Country featuring Shaboozey and Old Dominion,
• Additionally, three sold-out shows featuring the Savannah Bananas drew nearly 50,000 additional people to Sahlen Field.

Overall, it’s been a very successful few weeks for Western New York. The best part is that we still have a lot of summer ahead of us in Buffalo.
