Man charged with illegal hunting in Pasadena nature preserve

HOUSTON (KIAH) — A Houston man is accused of illegally hunting in a wildlife preserve, and police say it’s not the first time.

Herbert Wickham was arrested and charged with illegally hunting deer and wild boar at the Armand Bayou Nature Center in Pasadena, which is adjacent to the Johnson Space Center, the University of Houston-Clear Lake and several neighborhoods.

Investigators say this latest incident happened in October, but records show Wickham was arrested for the same thing in 2012, 2013 and 2014.

It is unclear why the charges were filed against him in this new case. He is currently being held in the Harris County Jail with bail set at $7,500.
