Police investigation blocks roads in northwest Atlanta

ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) – A large police investigation is underway Thursday morning in northwest Atlanta.

Police cordoned off two blocks of Elm Street between Jett Street and Cameron Street. Police focused their investigation on the corner of Elm and Jett streets.

Police said the call came into 911 shortly after 2 a.m. as a person injured in a shooting on Jett Street, but they have not yet confirmed what they are investigating.

An Atlanta News First crew at the scene reported seeing two crime scene investigations in the area as well as numerous police officers and detectives.
