Person hit and killed by Palm Tran bus

A Palm Tran bus struck and killed a person west of Lake Worth Beach Tuesday morning, the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office said.

The accident occurred at South Military Train and Melaleuca Lane.

The sheriff’s office said a man was hit by the bus.

Aerial footage from WPTV Chopper 5 showed the bus stopped next to a curb and a portion of the sidewalk cordoned off with red tape.

The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the accident.
