Severe weather possible this afternoon

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – A First weather warning day is in effect today as additional storms develop this afternoon, potentially bringing heavy rain, damaging winds and small hail.

Be prepared for a storm to move in at any time and, like yesterday, will remain over a specific area for a period of time. Minor flooding is possible in areas with poor drainage.

Today it will be warm and very humid, with temperatures in the afternoon reaching just over 27 degrees.

There will be a few showers and thunderstorms tonight, with lows of 21 degrees.

WEDNESDAY

There will also be isolated showers and thunderstorms on Wednesday. We can expect heavy downpours, brief local flooding and perhaps even one or two strong gusts of wind. It will remain warm and very humid with temperatures around 27 degrees.

THURSDAY AND FRIDAY

A cold front will move through the area on Thursday. With this front comes the possibility of a passing shower or thunderstorm. Rain is not expected to be as heavy as the previous two days. Thursday will be hotter with highs in the 30s.

Friday promises to be an absolutely wonderful day with less humidity and pleasant temperatures. Temperatures on Friday will be around 30 degrees.

THIS WEEKEND

Saturday promises to be wonderful, with temperatures around 30 degrees, low humidity and a mix of clouds and sunshine in the afternoon.

Now we have to expect showers or thunderstorms on Sunday, as temperatures are around 30 degrees and humidity is increasing again.
