Falcons sign defensive tackle Brandon Dorlus to rookie contract

Head Coach Raheem Morris: “What was cool about Dorlus was his pass rush, his interior pass rush, his ability to move and rush and be disruptive. That’s what attracted us to him the most. … His main trait would be to play to the limit of a human being and absolutely win on the pass rush, attack the edges, attack some of those things, create that disruption upfront that we can use kind of like a Grady (Jarrett ), kind of like a David Onyemata being able to get the rotation inside those guys rushing the passer, I feel like they can really help us.

Dorlus: “I’m more of a guy that doesn’t just do one thing. I feel like I can do everything. I can play to stop the run. I can pass the run from anywhere.”
