Kehinde Wiley: An archeology of silence
Kehinde Wiley: An archeology of silence, presenting the new monumental work of the artist, is exhibited at the Houston Museum of Fine Arts. Wiley, known for his official portrait of President Barack Obama, created this work against the backdrop of the pandemic and the global rise of the Black Lives Matter movement. RESILIENCE, draw the line2023, a charcoal and pastel mural by gay artist Marc Bauer currently on display at the Ménil Drawing Institute, combines powerful images from art history with contemporary references to create a thought-provoking narrative.
