Caldwell man arrested in Home Depot burglary

Daniel Stratton, 33, was charged with three counts of burglary in connection with break-ins at Home Depots in Meridian and Boise, according to Meridian police.

MERIDIAN, Idaho – Meridian police arrested Daniel Stratton, 33, of Caldwell on Monday for suspected burglary after he fled from police in his vehicle.

According to the Meridian Police Department (MPD), he was charged with three counts of burglary in connection with break-ins at Home Depot stores in Meridian and Boise. Stratton also received a misdemeanor charge of eluding police.

On May 21 at approximately 6:20 p.m., MPD found Stratton in his vehicle in the area of ​​East 5th Street and Idaho Street in Meridian and attempted to approach him before he fled a short distance, eventually stopping and being arrested, according to reports the police.

A press release from the department said Stratton likely stole lawn mowers with the intention of selling them online.

Stratton was booked into the Ada County Jail on his charges.
