5/14 The artists of the Memorial share their inspiration

BUFFALO, NY — Two memorials in Buffalo will honor the victims of the 5/14 mass shooting at Tops on Jefferson Avenue.

While the memorial outside the Tops store was unveiled Tuesday, the commission revealed its design choice Monday.

His exhibition is called “Seeing Us”. It was designed by Jin Young Song and Douglass Alligood. The memorial will consist of ten interconnected pillars, with each pillar honoring each of the ten people killed that day in 2022.
