Danger of flooding at the end of the week

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) – Tuesday is the last drier day of this work week.

Maximum temperatures will be just over 35 degrees, with isolated storms possible.

Tropical moisture is moving north in the Gulf and a stagnant boundary will bring us torrential rain through Wednesday morning.

Heavy rain with high amounts of precipitation is possible every day. On both Wednesday and Thursday we have a flood risk level 2 out of 4.

A front will move through and drive away the rain until Saturday. This will bring lower dew points and a really pleasant feeling in the morning hours.

We could get a taste of autumn, especially on the north coast with possible lows of between 15 and 15 degrees.
