Austin Symphony Orchestra July 4th Concert and Fireworks – Austin

It’s the city’s largest Independence Day celebration, and it’s also free. The celebration will include live performances by the Austin Symphony playing patriotic music and a fireworks display in the evening. The event kicks off at 4 p.m. Thursday at the Shores Auditorium, 800 W. Riverside Drive.

Independence Day Festival at Hill Country Galleria – Austin

The event will feature live performances by Ruthie Craft, Pearl Z, The Saddle Sores, Lena Luca and Vallejo. The celebration will also include rides, water features, face painting, vendors and a fireworks display in the evening. The celebration will begin at 4 p.m. at the Hill Country Galleria, located at 12700 Hill Country Blvd., Suite T-100 in Bee Cave.

Freedom Over Texas – Houston

The festival will feature local, regional, and national entertainment on various stages along Allen Parkway and various food and beverage vendors. A percentage of sales will be donated to the Houston Food Bank. Unfortunately, this event is not free, but you can purchase $10 tickets here . The event will begin at 4 p.m. at Eleanor Tinsley Park along Allen Parkway.

Fourth of July Bike Parade and Pool Party at West U – Houston

If you are looking for free, family-friendly events in Houston, this is perfect for you. You can attend a bike parade with your kids and decorate their bikes, tricycles, and wagons. At the end of the parade, there will be lots of games and an open pool. The parade will start at 8:45 am at West U Elementary School.

Other things to keep in mind this Independence Day are that if you are wondering if liquor stores are open, the answer is yes, you can buy alcohol today, although you should note that some stores may close at different times than usual.
