The Atlanta Journal-Constitution ran a front-page editorial Saturday calling on Biden, 81, to pass the torch to a more competent candidate, as did the New York Times.

“The sad truth is that Biden should withdraw from the race, for the sake of the nation he has served so admirably for half a century,” the AJC editorial board wrote.
