27-year-old boxer killed in Anne Arundel County, suspect in custody

BALTIMORE – An arrest has been made in connection with the murder of a 27-year-old boxer in Anne Arundel County.

Nicholas Francis Xavier Giroux, 36, was charged with the premeditated murder of Isaiah Oludayo Olugbemi.

According to police, Olugbemi was found with multiple gunshot wounds in the area of ​​Meadowmist Way and Stehlik Drive in Odenton at around 9:45 p.m.

Olugbemi, a well-known boxer from the region, was admitted to Shock Trauma in Baltimore, where he died.

Investigators believe that it was not a random shot, but a targeted one.

According to police, several residents of the neighborhood reported hearing several shots in front of their homes.

The investigation is ongoing.

Police are asking all owners of private surveillance cameras or recording doorbell cameras to make all videos available to investigators.
