Two were arrested after drugs, firearms and money were seized from the Chicopee home

CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) – Two people were arrested after drugs, firearms and large amounts of money were found at a Chicopee residence earlier this month.

According to Chicopee police, on May 3, officers executed a search warrant at a residence in Chicopee due to an investigation into the residents inside. During the investigation, investigators learned that it was a 48-year-old man Otis Collins from Chicopee, was selling cocaine in the apartment.


During the search of the property, investigators found several firearms, ammunition, narcotics and a large sum of money. The residents were not at home during the search. After the search, arrest warrants were issued against them.

Days after the search, Collins was found together with the 42-year-old Marie Lopez from Chicopee, introduced themselves.

Otis Collins was arrested and charged:

  • Own a large capacity X6 firearm
  • Have ammunition without an FID card
  • Trafficking in 100 grams or more of cocaine
  • Possess to distribute Class E drugs
  • Possession of a firearm without an FID card
  • Trafficking in 36 grams or more of cocaine
  • Improper storage of a firearm X3
  • Improper storage of a large capacity firearm near a Minor X3
  • Possess to distribute Class A drugs

Marie Lopez was arrested and charged:

  • Own a large capacity firearm X6
  • Possession of ammunition without an FID card
  • Trafficking in 100 grams or more of cocaine
  • Possess to distribute Class E drugs
  • Possession of a firearm without a FID card
  • Trafficking in 36 grams or more of cocaine
  • Improper storage of a firearm X 3
  • Improper storage of a large capacity firearm near a Minor X 3
  • Possess to distribute Class A drugs
