Tottenham suspends Yves Bissouma after laughing gas incident

Tottenham have suspended midfielder Yves Bissouma, with the midfielder expected to miss their opening Premier League game on Monday.

Spurs travel to Leicester for their first game of the new season, but will be without the Malian international after he received a reprimand from the club.

Bissouma filmed himself inhaling laughing gas earlier this week and was therefore left out of the squad for the game against the Foxes.

As the Evening Standard reported, coach Ange Postecoglou said: “Trust still needs to be built between Biss and me and between Biss and the group.”

Bissouma has played in almost all of Tottenham’s pre-season games this summer and would likely start against Steve Cooper’s team.
