Silver Springs woman arrested and charged with kidnapping | News

A Silver Springs woman was arrested and charged with kidnapping and drug possession.

On Saturday, June 29, at approximately 2:30 p.m., the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call on the Santa Fe Trail in Stagecoach, Nevada. The call included a report of an assault and possible kidnapping at gunpoint.

When they arrived, officers searched for the suspect’s car and found it after about 90 minutes in a parking lot of the Silver Springs Casino.

Officers reported finding both the suspect and the victim unharmed in the car. They also found the weapon described by the caller, as well as a small amount of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.

Brandy Moore, 55, of Silver Springs was arrested and charged with:

Kidnapping, two counts of assault with a deadly weapon, possession of a firearm by a person prohibited from possession, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

She is being held in the Lyon County Jail and her bail is set at $323,640.
